Barbera is the classic and historic grape of Monferrato, a first trace of Barbera can be found in a seventeenth-century writing preserved in the municipality of Nizza Monferrato. Grape variety known for its expressive power, for its high freshness and longevity. Austerum is a Barbera with kind intentions with a classic and frank expression. With an intense red color, a vinous scent accompanied by elegant notes of cherry, raspberry, currant and berries, in the mouth it is soft and velvety, with hints of jam and red fruits, and a delicate spicy note. < / p>
Thanks to the exposure of the vineyards to the South-West, to the particular microclimate enjoyed by the vineyards that insist on a particular clayey and calcareous soil, to be worked entirely by hand , to the brilliant intuitions of the Barea family and to the expert advice of the oenologist Gianfranco Cordero, in Tenuta Montemagno, today bottles of great importance are born, included in the top 100 of the best wines in Italy. As tradition dictates, the harvesting, vinification and aging operations take place in the ancient frescoed cellars of Tenuta Montemagno, equipped with cutting-edge technologies. Here traditional wines with a strong character and decidedly new wines come to life and rest, such as TM Brut, a classic method obtained by vinifying Barbera grapes.
