Franciacorta is one of the best bubbles in Italy. Franciacorta wines are produced from Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, Pinot Bianco and Erbamat, it is a sparkling wine capable of telling, like few others, the uniqueness of a prestigious territory. Alter ego del Satèn, from which it differs for its essentially pink soul, is the evolution of a cuvée based on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fermented in stainless steel and barrique. After the tirage, the wine ages for 96 months before disgorgement. Pinot Noir, grown on the moraine slopes, brings strength and thickness as well as the characteristic scent of small red fruits, while Chardonnay gives fullness and roundness.
The Barboglio De Gaioncelli winery was born inside the building of the same name and in 2010, in what was once a sharecropping area. The Franciacorta specification sets out the guidelines for the production of wines: manual harvesting in boxes of maximum 16 kg, minimum refinement in the bottle, the use of certain grape varieties (Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco) and much more. Within this rigorous regulation, the winery, exploiting the knowledge of its vineyard area, expresses its production philosophy, summed up in finesse and elegance, sincere wines, very drinkable that find their highest expression in the reserves.
