Malvasia di Casorzo is a very rare red grape variety present only in the municipality of Casorzo, in the Asti area, therefore an Autochthonous par excellence, an intense red Malvasia with delicate purple reflections with an intense aromatic scent with notes of wild strawberries forest, raspberries, blueberries and delicate hints of wild rose, with a sweet and tannic flavor at the same time, fresh and delicate with a good vivacity and sensations of red fruits, strawberries and fresh flowers.
Thanks to the exposure of the vineyards to the South-West, to the particular microclimate enjoyed by the vineyards that insist on a particular clayey and calcareous soil, to the processing entirely by hand, to the brilliant intuitions of the Barea family and to the wise advice of winemaker Gianfranco Cordero, in Tenuta Montemagno, today bottles of great importance are born, included in the top 100 of the best wines in Italy. As tradition dictates, the harvesting, vinification and aging operations take place in the ancient frescoed cellars of Tenuta Montemagno, equipped with cutting-edge technologies. Here traditional wines with a strong character and decidedly new wines come to life and rest, such as TM Brut, a classic method obtained by vinifying Barbera grapes.
