The Alto Adige Weissburdunger Pinot Bianco by Hofstätter is born in vineyards located in the municipality of Cortaccia on the Strada del Vino, in the province of Bolzano. It is produced with 100% Pinot Bianco grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. After a light pressing of the grapes, the must ferments in stainless steel barrels at a controlled temperature. Hofstätter's Weissburdunger Pinot Bianco has a rather intense straw yellow color. The nose opens with a clean and warm bouquet, with pleasant persistent floral scents. On the palate it is distinctly acidic and balanced, long in the finish.
The Klaus Lentsch Estate covers 35 hectares, of which 12.5 are vineyards, where the traditional pergola gradually leaves the field to the guyot system, more suitable for producing high quality grapes. The red porous and layered soil (clay, sand and porphyry debris) enjoys excellent ventilation and returns the heat accumulated during the day on cool nights, creating an unparalleled microclimate.
